A Zenbook A16 trackpad button stayed stuck through the Hardware menu
On an ASUS Zenbook A16, Update > Hardware > Trackpad did nothing when a button got stuck down. A change merged into quattro turns the touchpad off and on in Hyprland, and a change merged into quattro resets only the touchpad on an XPS 16.
On an ASUS Zenbook A16, Update > Hardware > Trackpad did nothing when a button got stuck down, because that touchpad is not one of the devices the command rebound. A change merged into quattro turns the touchpad off and back on in Hyprland first, which makes libinput release a held button. David Heinemeier Hansson tested that cycle on the Zenbook A16, and that cycle is what freed the stuck trackpad. The cycle needs no password. A touchpad the user disabled stays off.
On an XPS 16 (N1x), the same menu rebound every i2c_hid_acpi device, so it also reset the keyboard and touchscreen. A change merged into quattro resets only the devices udev marks as a touchpad. Hansson verified it on that XPS 16: the touchpad was rebound while the touchscreen and keyboard kept their HID instances.
