Chromium camera capture gets a flag on Snapdragon laptops
Pull request 15895, merged into quattro, installs pipewire-libcamera for the Qualcomm family and turns on Chromium's WebRtcPipeWireCamera flag. The pull request says a Yoga Slim 7x with the kernel in omarchy-pkgs pull request 1277 shows its built-in camera in Chromium with this feature on.
The pull request says Snapdragon laptops' cameras run through libcamera, which apps reach through PipeWire, and that pipewire-libcamera was only installed on the ThinkPad T14s. It says Chromium keeps its PipeWire camera capture off unless the flag is on.
The pull request says the package is installed for the whole Qualcomm family, on new installs and on existing machines, and that a helper puts WebRtcPipeWireCamera in Chromium's flags. It says that on a Yoga Slim 7x with the kernel in omarchy-pkgs pull request 1277, Chromium shows the built-in camera with this feature on.
