EliteBook Ultra microphone profile is merged for the HP card
Pull request 15574, merged into quattro, carries an HP profile that routes the EliteBook Ultra G1q internal microphone through the capture path the Lenovo profile missed. Bob Prendergast wrote that a stock quattro hardware check is still outstanding. The merge is not in version 4.0.4.
The pull request says the microphone needs DMIC2 routed through the DEC1 capture path. The Lenovo-derived profile selected DMIC1, leaving the HP microphone without usable signal. The profile includes aliases for both observed HP card names.
The profile is in /usr/share/alsa/ucm2, the directory the current Omarchy package already copies into place. The pull request says no new installer, migration, build framework, or firmware binaries are needed.
Prendergast wrote that the owner confirmed a moving internal-mic meter and clear speech after a clean HP community-image installation, and that speaker playback also worked. He wrote that those tests used the existing HP firmware and topology, and custom board support, not a stock quattro installation, and that the current Omarchy ARM kernel uses a different integration from the tested linux-aarch64 setup.
