Intel Surface keyboard steps stay off Snapdragon tablets in an n1x merge
Pull request 14389 merges a skip of Intel Surface keyboard steps on 64-bit ARM, on the n1x branch. turbineBMW wrote that those steps name modules ARM does not have. The merge is not in version 4.0.4.
The Surface detector still matches every Microsoft Surface, including the Snapdragon X Elite Surface Pro 11. On that tablet the keyboard script had written a boot-image module list naming intel_lpss_pci and 8250_dw. turbineBMW wrote that those modules are not on ARM, so the image build can fail, and that the Surface setup also installed Marvell firmware Snapdragon Surfaces do not use. In the merge, both scripts require an x86_64 machine as well.
turbineBMW wrote that an install from a Snapdragon image onto an external disk on a Surface Pro 11 ran both scripts and wrote nothing, and did not write a module list. turbineBMW wrote that booting that installation was not checked, and that the change does not affect the boot path. birkskyum merged it.
