Sleep and hibernation are blocked on GB10 desktops in an n1x merge
Pull request 13260 merges a block on sleep and hibernation for NVIDIA GB10 desktops, on the n1x branch. Pull request 14895 names that platform. Neither merge is in version 4.0.4.
The merged rule is a systemd drop-in, a settings file named omarchy-sleep-disabled.conf, on the GB10 machines that branch recognizes: the DGX Spark and the ASUS Ascent GX10. The menu hides suspend and hibernation, and a migration applies the drop-in on an existing install of that branch. Other machines are unchanged.
Jim Martin wrote that on a Spark, suspend to idle never woke and needed a forced restart. He wrote that with the drop-in, logind, which answers whether sleep is allowed, reports suspend and hibernation as unavailable. He wrote that the menu change was not checked in the running shell. Pull request 14895 names the platform aarch64-gb10, from the graphics device at PCI identifier 10de:2e12.
The package list for aarch64-gb10 is the NVIDIA driver, the container toolkit, rdma-core for the ConnectX-7 network, and the Nsight profilers. Martin wrote that on two DGX Sparks the platform command prints aarch64-gb10. ryanrhughes merged both pull requests.
