Omacom Foundation hires HANCORE as head of design and community
The Omacom Foundation is hiring HANCORE as head of design and community, David Heinemeier Hansson wrote in an Omarchy news post. The post says he is moving from Omarchy AIR to join full time, as the fourth staff member.
The post names him alongside Krzysztof on kernel, outfoxxed on shell, and Emir on infrastructure. He was one of the first two artists invited into the residency, the post says, and it quickly became clear that what he is doing for Omarchy is a full-time job.
The post says he started the marketplace that became the official plugin catalogue, now with six thousand plugins, including games from the bar, panels that track coding agents, and music players. It says keeping that ecosystem healthy, helping authors, and making sure the best of it gets seen is a big part of the job.
The post says Solitude and Last Horizon both ship with Omarchy, and that another twenty of his themes are on the extras page. It says that is more than anyone else has contributed, and that he will keep serving on Omarchy Core. The move opens a seat in AIR, which remains by invitation, the post says.
The post says his work will also include merchandise and apparel, and that more on that is soon.
