Omarchy Development Kit introduces .oma app archives
Christoffer Hallas introduced the Omarchy Development Kit, a Rust and GPUI project for building Omarchy applications, moving away from Quickshell.
A runtime in the kit can understand app archives similar to a macOS application bundle, in Hallas's account. He calls that archive .oma, and in that account a directory becomes executable and is automatically sandboxed under a least privilege permissions model.
He has started the migration of Atmos to use the kit, and he thinks it will be the first app to ship in Omarchy with the OMA runtime and the .oma app archive.
