Translation catalogs are read before the first lookup
Pull request 16059, merged into quattro, reads translation catalogs before the first lookup. zihaomu wrote that the first binding could return a raw catalog key.
zihaomu wrote that the translation functions currently read dictionaries initialized to empty objects, and that FileView.onLoaded populates those dictionaries later. He wrote that calling .arg() on that key emits the reported "QString::arg: Argument missing" warnings, and that the plugin Translations component has the same initialization race.
The pull request says the selected language, locale settings, and translation maps are bound directly to the file text, so the blocking-read setting applies to the first lookup, and later file changes still apply. It says the change preserves translation lookup, plural selection, the regional, base, and English fallback, and live language changes.
zihaomu wrote that a full-shell graphical acceptance in a disposable VM was not run, and that the active desktop configuration and packages were unchanged.
