T3 Code's menu installs an AppImage the app can update
Pull request 15907, merged into quattro, changes Install > AI > T3 Code so it asks for Stable or Nightly and installs the official AppImage, which the app's updater replaces in place. The packaged build could not take those updates.
The pull request says T3 Code comes from the t3code-bin package, which the app's updater cannot touch, because on Linux it only updates an AppImage or a deb. The app still offers an update that then fails, and Nightly needs a second package.
The pull request says the download is checked against the sha512 in the release feed the updater reads. It says the file name carries no version, so the updater replaces the file in place and the launcher keeps working.
The pull request says a migration turns t3code-nightly-bin into Nightly and t3code-bin into Stable for someone who has run T3 Code, and drops the package only once the app is in place. It says a hands-on run on one machine passed, and that a second machine, to check Update Everything across machines, is still to come.
