Default command-line tools run directly after the first use
Pull request 9596, merged into quattro, makes the default command-line tools install through mise on first use, instead of a wrapper that runs on every launch. The pull request says gh loops forever when it is mise's GitHub credential helper.
The pull request says those wrappers run mise use -g on every invocation, which rewrites the global mise config and can make a network request before the tool starts.
It says the 20 defaults are declared together, and the 11 agent command lines set auto_update to 4h, so mise upgrades one within latest if it has not checked in the last four hours. It says that if the update fails or the machine is offline, the installed version runs, and that gh is left out of that check.
The pull request says this needs mise 2026.10.11 or newer, and that Omarchy's mise-bin already ships 2026.10.12. It says a fresh ISO install and the interactive Remove and Restore flow still need validation on Omarchy.
