Version 4.0.5 brings Linux 7.2.8 and the October snapshot
Omarchy version 4.0.5 is out, with Qt 6.12, the October snapshot, and Linux 7.2.8 with the BORE scheduler. Existing machines upgrade with Update > Omarchy.
The release notes call it a bunch of fixes and refinements to tighten things up while the project prepares for the next feature release, which the notes say is coming soon.
The notes move Omarchy onto Qt 6.12, update the packages on the stable ring, and update the default kernel to Linux 7.2.8 with the BORE scheduler. They also prioritize Omarchy's package repository over Arch's.
The security section removes unsafe automatic PATH injection in project directories, erases root password hashes during a factory reset, and hardens helper scripts against malicious command-line flags.
New machines install from the ISO linked on the release page, which also publishes a SHA256 for that file.
The Omarchy account said, “We're still hard at work on the next major update with new features, apps, and aesthetics!”
