Limine's default menu wait is one second
Pull request 15301, merged into quattro, sets the Limine menu wait to one second where no timeout is set, and any key shows the menu. David Heinemeier Hansson said a real reboot is still needed to confirm that. The merge is not in version 4.0.4.
David Heinemeier Hansson said most of the 6.2s loader time at boot is Limine's menu wait. The merged config sets timeout to 1 and quiet to yes. A migration applies that only where no uncommented timeout already exists, so a timeout someone set stays, and it writes quiet where that line is missing.
System, then Reboot to Boot Menu, runs a reboot with the boot-loader menu value 0. David Heinemeier Hansson said that value disables automatic boot so the menu is shown. He said one real reboot is still needed to confirm that Limine follows the request and that a key shows the menu. David Heinemeier Hansson opened and merged the pull request.
