Links from other apps focus the running browser
Pull request 14441, merged into quattro, routes http and https links through omarchy-launch-browser so the running browser window is focused. David Heinemeier Hansson said Electron apps were opening the tab without that focus. The merge is not in version 4.0.4.
David Heinemeier Hansson said a link in foot runs xdg-open with a Wayland activation token, and the browser window that receives the tab comes forward. He said a link in Signal does not: Electron apps send the link through the desktop portal without an activation token, and the tab lands in a Chromium window out of sight.
The merged change includes a hidden omarchy-browser.desktop that runs omarchy-launch-browser. A desktop-specific list points the http and https handlers at that entry. The browser itself stays in mimeapps.list. A migration installs the entry. David Heinemeier Hansson opened and merged the pull request.
