Signed is the PDF signer on the merged package list, in place of Xournal++
Pull request 14999 merges Signed, an app for signing a PDF and adding text and a date, in place of Xournal++ on the base package list. Existing installs keep Xournal++. The merge is not in version 4.0.4.
The pull request says Signed follows the signing flow in Apple Preview. A saved signature, a piece of text, or the day's date goes at the pointer. The user drags and scales it, then saves a copy beside the original. The original pages stay as they are, so the text can still be selected.
A migration installs Signed on an existing machine unless the preinstalled set was removed. It does not uninstall Xournal++. The merged setup tip names Signed instead of Xournal++. David Heinemeier Hansson wrote that the change depends on the signed package being published first. He wrote that Signed 0.1.0 passed 34 offscreen tests, and that the interface was driven with a real mouse. He opened and merged the pull request.
