The Omarchy repository is listed before Arch in merged package defaults
Pull request 14551 merges stable, release-candidate, and edge defaults that list the Omarchy package repository before Arch. The pull request says edge should wait for published override cleanup before that priority is enabled.
Under that order, a package published in both places comes from the Omarchy repository. The merged migration moves the existing Omarchy section to the front of pacman.conf, the package manager's configuration file. It leaves channel addresses, custom repositories, and administrator options in place, copies the old file to pacman.conf.bak, and then runs omarchy-update-system-pkgs even when the section was already first.
That move puts the Omarchy section ahead of every other repository, including a custom repository that had been listed first. The sample hook for a new custom repository inserts it before the Omarchy section. David Heinemeier Hansson opened the pull request, and ryanrhughes merged it.
The merged default files already place the Omarchy repository first on all three channels. Hansson wrote that release-candidate and stable cleanup follows their snapshot advances when those channels release.
