Installing Steam no longer pulls NVIDIA drivers onto Intel graphics
Pull request 12569 says installing Steam on a machine with no NVIDIA GPU downloaded and installed the NVIDIA driver, about 1.8 GB installed, because the 32-bit Vulkan driver was not in place yet. It merged into quattro.
Pacman, run without a prompt, picked lib32-nvidia-utils as the first provider of lib32-vulkan-driver, and that pulled nvidia-utils. The installer already knew the right driver. It ran too late.
The graphics driver now installs first. The pull request says this was reproduced on an Intel UHD 620 laptop. The GitHub user selfcrypto opened pull request 12569, and David Heinemeier Hansson merged it.
