The speaker tuning stays up when audio starts
Omarchy's speaker tuning could be killed as soon as sound started, then restarted every 2 seconds. Pull request 12958 makes the host ask RTKit itself.
The host was requesting realtime through a portal that still reported a budget of zero. The kernel then killed the process. The pull request says that on a ThinkPad E14 the old setting was killed about 22 times in an hour, and that the author has not reproduced the kill on an XPS.
The host config now turns the realtime portal off, the same way PipeWire's own config does, so the service asks RTKit directly. The GitHub user michaeldeby opened pull request 12958, and David Heinemeier Hansson merged it.
