Closing the lid during shutdown no longer suspends the laptop
Choosing Shut Down and then closing the lid could suspend an Omarchy laptop instead of powering it off. Pull request 13076 merged into quattro.
Ordinary sleep inhibitors do not block a lid-triggered suspend, so the machine could sleep through the shutdown and resume when the lid opened.
The fix holds a lid-switch inhibition through shutdown preparation, a 2-second delay, and the power-off request. A critical notification appears if the inhibitor or the power-off request fails.
The pull request says the original patch was tested with the lid open and closed on a Dell XPS 13 running version 4.0.4. The GitHub user chemineer1 opened pull request 13076, and David Heinemeier Hansson merged it.
