The agents panel takes Grok in full, and its agents can be reordered
Grok now works like Claude and Codex in Omarchy's agents panel, with added accounts, usage limits, and token counts, and the agents can be reordered. Pull request 14004 completed the change.
Grok could sign in one account and launch, but it had no usage collector and no icon, and the account commands ignored it. Pull request 13992 made it a full provider.
Every omarchy agent account command now takes Grok. A second Grok account signs in through a private window and keeps only its login, linking everything else back to ~/.grok, so no account unpacks its own 160 MB copy of the CLI.
The panel shows Grok's weekly limit from the endpoint Grok's own usage view reads. A lapsed sign-in keeps the last numbers and asks for a new sign-in.
Grok also reports tokens today, by day for the last week, and by model, read from each session's usage.json. Pull request 14004 added the counts.
Agents can be put in any order. Drag one by its mark, or put the cursor on its header and press Ctrl+Up or Ctrl+Down, or Ctrl+k or Ctrl+j. The order is kept in ~/.local/state/omarchy/agents/order.json.
Grok now installs from mise's own grok package instead of npm. The GitHub user j-c-m proposed that change in pull request 13889, and pull request 14004 brings it in unchanged, with a migration for existing installs.
David Heinemeier Hansson opened and merged pull request 13992 and pull request 14004.
Correction
Rewritten on Oct. 4 to say what changes for people who use the panel. The earlier version listed how the commits were merged, wrote a clock time in the summary, linked the credits endpoint and a GitHub profile, and ran on Oct. 3 as a second write-up under another headline.
